When thinking about a door, you have to think and imagine what or who is behind the door. Whereas a window, you do not have to think, just see. Also, you may have to think about weather to push or pull the door, in order not to make a fool of yourself, for some this provokes more thought than others. And this is why I believe a door provokes more thought than a window.
